It overviews a definition of developmental reading disorders and describes subtypes that will be recognizable to the speech language specialist because of the language patterns that are exhibited. The same subtypes are referred to throughout the text so that the reader is able to follow from description of behaviours, through differential diagnosis and into specific tratment procedures and strategies.
