Elizabeth Simpson lives in Victoria, where she teaches Canadian literature at Camosun College. In 2000 she published the critically acclaimed One Man at a Time, which was shortlisted for the VanCity Book Prize. Her 1997 work, The Perfection of Hope: A Soul Transformed by Critical Illness, about her experience with lung cancer, was also shortlisted for the VanCity Book Prize as well as the B.C. Book Prize.
