Ruby Bridges was just six years old when she was chosen to be the first (and only) black child in the all-white William Frantz Elementary School. At the time, Ruby was too young to understand how the simple act of attending school would change the lives of many to come. Her courageous act left the legacy that given a chance, anyone at any age can make a difference in the world.

M. Michelle Derosier is here to make a difference in her world for Christ. She is driven to ensure that students in under-resourced schools have access to opportunities for success and the support system to leverage them. She loves to partner with others to do the same. As a freelancer, Michelle has written for online and print publications. She's currently working on the Happy Harper children's series, the first book forthcoming in 2019. Michelle lives in Brooklyn with her supportive husband Dave. She wishes they had a dog.
