Acerca del autor

From playing the violin to creating new cheesecake recipes, Rohini Townsend, "Ro", has been donned a Jane-of-all-trades by those who she serves. Her varied background in arts, ministry and a myriad of other hobbies and gifts allows her to see the world through a colorful lens. With her husband, Earl, she is co-creator and co-founder of RoE Creations, which does creative catering for small groups as well as community organizing. Her passion lies in bringing people together and finding ways for people to identify value in each other. Along with RoE Creations, Ro is the visionary and CEO of GRoE, Inc., a nonprofit subsidiary of RoE Creations that aims to help eliminate food insecurity amongst children in Indianapolis. Ro has experienced many trials and tragedies in her life, but rather than allowing tragedy to break her, she has used it as fuel to help heal and guide others through their tests and misfortunes. Her own adversity has allowed her to view life and people through a loving lens, sans judgement or condemnation, which is reflected every time that she is in front of an audience. Life experience has also given Ro a voice and passion for the youth so they can be heard, empowered and equipped with tools that can redirect any downward paths on which they might be. Being born in Indianapolis, but with Jamaican and British backgrounds, she has proven to be culturally savvy, culinarily adventurous, and eager to learn about people and their backgrounds. Though she is also a faculty member for the Advance Ministry Institute, a business owner, and a mother of five, she still makes time to minister, mentor and engage with her neighbors; she understands the calling that God has on her life to invest in people while understanding that a return is not necessary nor expected.
