This book is not really about a box of rocks. This book is about seeing the potential in others - seeing what those rocks in our path may become. It explores why real mentoring may be in danger of becoming a lost art. An art that is vital to developing the next generations of business leaders. Each of us, no matter our background or experience, has the opportunity to share the lessons we have learned along the way. This book discusses numerous tools and techniques designed to help mentors effectively guide others through personal, caring relationships. And you might just learn something about flint knapping along the way.

Greg Gledhill is an attorney by day, but a modern Renaissance Man (or career hobbyist) outside the office. You will read in the book's introduction his views on the importance, and potential pitfalls, of a broad liberal arts background and the continual pursuit of knowledge. He attended college at Utah State University and law school at George Mason University School of Law. He is a storyteller and loves to teach and learn by relating to others through shared experience. Greg loves to spend time with his family. He and his wife love to explore the outdoors with their four children. Greg has lived in several states and has gained significant experience working with people from all walks of life in different business settings. He has been mentored by many and has tried to return the favor to others. This background was the impetus to this book. He hopes to inspire others to carry the honorable mantle of being a mentor and pass on their knowledge and experience through personal, caring relationships based on trust, respect, and the desire to help others become more than they could alone.
