Richard brings a unique blend of work experience and life interests to his writing career. Besides his engineering background, he holds a Commercial Pilot's license, operates his own aircraft, serves as Director for an oil company, and manages a substantial portfolio of commercial and residential real estate. Richard's main writing interest is Speculative Fiction, where he extrapolates current events and difficulties from our present society into worlds filled with unique problems for his characters to deal with. He tries to make his projections plausible, ones that will perhaps serve as warnings to his readers that we are living in an exponentially unstable time and significant changes can be expected that may not be good for our descendants. He has produced five novels and a number of short stories. Richard lives with his family on the Snake River in Southeastern Idaho near Yellowstone Park and Jackson Hole.
