Anne Carol Sharples attended the University of Toronto where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree specializing in English. She continued her studies at York University earning her Bachelor of Education Degree. She began her career as a general education teacher before moving into special education. During this time, she served as a teacher, advocate and facilitator building inclusive opportunities for her students with multiple exceptionalities within school and community. Her professional interests include inclusive education and community. Anne Carol currently serves as a consultant to educators and parents, creates training workshops and develops educational materials. Anne Carol is the author of The Parents Guide to Autism and coauthor of The Authorities Powerful Wisdom for Leaders in the Field.
