M.L Gupta retired in 2006 as Joint Secretary to the Government of India after having served the nation for more than 35 years in various ministries of the government of India including the sensitive Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Industry and represented India globally on numerous occasions as a member of the official delegation of the Government of India. Prior to that he was in academia for 4 years. He graduated in 1964 from the University of Rajasthan with a Degree in English Literature, Hindi Literature and Political Science and earned his Master’s degree in English Literature as well from there. He also studied Law at the University School of Law at Jaipur. He is a civil society and current affairs analyst and takes special interest in matters pertaining to consumer rights, human rights, constitutional developments, economic policies, social policies, law & justice, urbanization issues, poverty eradication, health care, employment & livelihood, industrialization, pollution, developmental administration, education, anti-corruption programs, peace, philosophy, spirituality and literature.
