Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a snapshot of the Oberlin community and its growth during 1928. It sheds light on various events, achievements, and changes of great interest to the alumni community, such as the arrival of the Oberlin Alumni Magazine, the addition of new faculty, and the implementation of a new curriculum. The author emphasizes Oberlin's commitment to the glorious end of doing good to men and the outpouring of resources to ensure this intention. By revisiting speeches, meetings, and gatherings, the author reflects on the ideological shifts in teaching, as well as the social and religious lives of students and the surrounding community, including the implementation of the Campus Covenant in 1833. The book grapples with this tension between commitment to both personal growth and external influence, leaving readers with a comprehensive view of an institution in motion.
