I DID not at first intend to publish the Key to the Exer cises contained in my Method; but experience has con vinced me that such a book is always of great utility to the learners. Besides, I have received so many encoura ging commendation: from persons who have been enabled through the medium of my German Method, and the Key to the Exercises, to acquire that language without the aid of a master, that I feel it incumbent upon me to publish also a Key to my French Method.
