Toronto and the Engineering Society was fortunate in having as its guests 200 of the members of this sister society. The cucum stance was all the more auspicious since Dr. Galbraith, as Presi dent oi delivered on the evening of the dinner, his vale dictory address dealing, in masterly detail, with engineering prob lems of to-day; and in no small measure was this dinner intended as a personal tribute to Dean Galbraith and Dr. Ellis, two' of the charter members of this Society who through years of faithful and untiring service have endeared themselves to each succeed ing graduating class. Considering all these facts, it is little won der that the advent of the School dinner was eagerly looked for ward to on all sides.
