Award winning illustrator, Martin Impey's artistic interpretation of one of Wilfred Owen's most renowned poems. Impey skilfully executes not only the imagery that Owen creates in words, but also illustrates the sentiment - that there is no glory in war, or in death.
Martin Impey studied graphic design with distinction and alongside illustration works in design, film, advertising and marketing. Passionate about military history he illustrated Michael Morpurgo's War Horse for OUP and has been shortlisted, and won, several awards for his picture books set in World War 1, written by Hilary Robinson, including Where The Poppies Now Grow, The Christmas Truce, Flo Of The Somme and A Song For Will and the Lost Gardeners of Heligan.
