The subject of this book is the new scientific research in the field of modelling the interaction between land use and transport (LUTI modelling). Transport and the location of activities in space have been important themes of study in engineering, social sciences and urban and regional planning for many decades. This book presents an integrated modelling of location and transport and new trends in spatial econometric techniques that allow the processing of spatial correlation in the data thereby avoiding bias in the estimation of the models. The book explores new developments achieved in an integrated spatial LUTI model with a core comprising of a trip generation submodel, a residential location submodel and a real estate price submodel. This book presents the contributions of 19 very experienced researchers in the field of transport and land use modelling. The content is intended for a wider academic audience: teachers, researchers and master and doctoral students although it could also be of interest to professionals with a high training profile.
