In Problems of Philosophy Russell attempts to create a brief and accessible guide to the problems of philosophy. He introduces important theories of Plato, Aristotle, René Descartes, David Hume, John Locke, Immanuel Kant, Georg Hegel and others to lay the foundation for philosophical inquiry. The Theory of Knowledge occupies a larger space than metaphysics in the present volume, and some topics much discussed by philosophers are treated very briefly, if at all.

Buch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - In The Problems of Philosophy, Russell presents a clear and accessible exploration of the central issues that have occupied philosophers for centuries. Beginning with the distinction between appearance and reality, he investigates how we come to know the world and whether our perceptions provide reliable knowledge of external objects.Russell proceeds to examine questions concerning matter, universals, induction, and the nature of truth. Through careful reasoning and lucid examples, he introduces readers to the problems that arise when we attempt to establish certainty about the world beyond our immediate experience. Rather than offering simple answers, Russell demonstrates how philosophical inquiry sharpens the mind by confronting the limits of what can be known.First published in 1912, this work remains one of the most influential introductions to modern analytic philosophy. Russell's ability to present complex ideas with clarity made the book a foundational text for students of philosophy and a lasting guide to the intellectual discipline of philosophical thought.
