The inspiration of Friend Maker came about from a question answered by my five-year-old grandson, Parker. I asked him what was the most fun thing he liked to do on the playground. I was thinking the slide or maybe the playhouse. But to my surprise he answered, “I like to make friends with kids I don't know.” The impact of his answer struck me like a rock. I started thinking of how important it was to have friends at a young age and the difficulty it takes for kids to break the ice to get to know one another. Too often, children make wrong decisions about others carrying out inappropriate actions. Prejudices, different lifestyles, and wrong impressions about cultures and ethnic backgrounds can be misunderstood. This book contains seventy-five illustrations with two hundred fun questions. It will give two individuals a fun, fast shortcut to get to know one another instantly, creating lasting friendships. I recommend this book for teachers, counselors, church groups where children are not familiar with others, travel time, reunions, family gatherings, and as a deterrent from Tv and video games. Biografía del autor

Arthur R. Morris is an entrepreneurial medical business owner, inventor, writer, musician, and family man. Born in Indiana, he has always shown a concern for children's interests and education through teaching music and creative writings. Inspired by children's humorous thoughts, actions and his supportive family, he maintains a lighter view of life from a child's perspective. In other words, whatever it takes to make them laugh. Through Arthur's medical business, he has donated medical equipment and supplies to numerous charities for children's hospitals worldwide. He was awarded the Russian Workman's Award for his onsite efforts upgrading several hospitals in Siberia, along the Pacific Rim.
