Cheri McDaniel was looking forward to summer vacation. Cheri had big plans for the summer. But that was before her mother arranged for her to spend the summer on a remote island off the coast of Maine. Spending her summer vacation cooped up on a small island where there was no electricity or internet was the last thing Cheri wanted to do. She wouldn’t even be able to text or call her friends.
