Stephen Choi studied James Joyce at the Graduate School of Yonsei University, South Korea. He taught English at Yonsei University, and taught Herman Melville, Shakespeare, and modern criticism at Seokyeong University as an associate professor. He studied John Barth at the University of Hawaii as a visiting professor. He taught Korean to American soldiers at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Presidio of Monterey, California, as an assistant professor. He now lives in the Monterey Peninsula with his wife, writing his next book, of which some sentences, he wishes, could be quoted as example sentences of key intelligent words in future editions of this book.
