Reseña del editor

“While trying to win we often fail to consider what we may lose.”

During the Civil Rights era when many African Americans begun to associate success with merely achieving another day, Victory Frye became fixated on winning something that she considered much more valuable than another day—another life. Motivated by a deep hatred for her impoverished, racially inferior community and all those content with remaining apart of it, Victoria would transform from an angry young girl into a callously successful businesswoman. But after separating herself from all those that chose to wait and pray for a better day, Victoria would find herself tied to one that couldn’t sit and share her comfortable stoop of seclusion, but one burdened with an unescapable need to help others. And though his disposition was as costly to himself as it was an inconvenience to his wife, Sam Pratt would never be afforded the ability to look away.

Read The Lamb of Jackson-Hamlet and witness if the weight of one’s goodness can collapse the long standing walls of another or if the collateral damage from one’s indifference will also consume the one chosen to make a difference.
