Dr Rizi Timane LCSW, DSW is a female to male entertainer and licensed Psychotherapist. An Unspoken Compromise details his discovery at 8 years old that he was transgender and his eventual decision to transition in his 30's. It is a story of self-discovery, internal and family conflict, spiritual evolution, love and reconciliation. Rizi provides an annual surgery fund for transgender individuals who desire gender confirming surgery but have no insurance or otherwise cannot afford the surgery. A portion of the proceeds from all of Rizi’s personal income (private therapy practice, entertainment work as well as from this memoir), are donated to this fund. Rizi's message to the LGBT community is clear-Be your authentic self-it's the only way to inner peace and happiness.

Rizi Xavier Timane, PhD, ASW, is a Nigerian-born transgender Life Coach, minister and certified grief counselor residing in Los Angeles, California. He is also a singer/songwriter and an actor who uses his music and movie productions as an outlet to promote Transgender inclusion, equality and affirmation.
