Margie Shade Nelson was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and began writing poetry as a child. She writes from life experiences and has shared her poetry in various places. She has one self-published poetry book entitled Poetic Blessings published in 2003. She also has the following works entitled, "Through His Eyes" "Like a Tree" and "God's Perfect Love" which previously appeared in an anthology by World of Poetry Press in 1991. Margie Shade Nelson still resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is the mother of three adult children: Candace, Corey, and Kyle.
