Turning Point is the second in the Abigail Romero (a Latina investigator) mystery series and follows chronologically from the first (Folsom Point). The story takes place in northern New Mexico beginning with the murder of a prominent politician at the Taos Pueblo during a sacred ceremony on Christmas Eve. Abby is convinced the assassin is a woman and the hunt is on. The intrigue flows through Mexican drug cartels, Santa Fe businessmen, and psychological drama involving Abby and the assassin. Characters from the first book evolve in significant ways through the second in the series. Turning Point was selected as a finalist by the 2014 New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards in fiction (mystery/suspense).
