Before his retirement he was employed as a Psychologist by the Iowa Department of Correction, a Social Worker by the Iowa Department of Human Services, and provided Guidance Services to Iowa Public School Districts. He has been married over 40 years to the same woman, has 3 children and 10 grand-children.
