Terri Sharp was raised in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. In 1979, Terri moved to Payette, Idaho where she lived with her grandparents Harvey and Cleo Johnson. In 1981, she married her husband Mark Sharp. In 1984, she had her first son Matthew Sharp and in 1986, she had another son, Samuel Sharp. The Sharp family has been long time residents of the Treasure Valley, and currently resides in Nyssa, Oregon.On June 7, 2003, Matthew Sharp was in a severe motorcycle accident and suffered severe brain injury. Despite a bleak diagnosis from the doctor's, his mother fought through a ten-month battle, won, and brought Matthew home. Three days after returning home, Matthew came out of the coma, and every day they strive to see Matthew make progress towards full healing. In April 2007, Terri went into Matthew's room, sat on the edge of his bed and said "Matt Let's take something tragic and make something awesome out of it, Lets write a book. I know your dreams are to ride dirt bikes and we will not give up on your dreams, but right now let us conquer your second dream and make you an author." Putting their ideas together they came up with the Luke Cruz Chronicles. The Testing is book one.
