Sinopsis
It’s the first day of school, and Ellie is feeling nervous. She’s wearing glasses for the first time. Chase is also worried; he’s in a wheelchair. Aaron, too, is a little apprehensive. All three hope the other kids won’t tease them because of their differences.
Elllie’s fears are confirmed. The other children in the class make fun of her glasses, and that makes her sad. Soon, she, Chase, and Aaron are drawn together because of their differences and they become good friends. But when the class parrot goes missing, the trio is blamed. The kids then use their special powers to return Mr. Krackers to the classroom.
A book for young readers, The Unique Detectives communicates the powerful message of not judging someone because they are different. Everyone has something special about themselves, and we should learn to search for that and use it to solve problems instead of creating problems.
