Biografía del autor

Giveon Cornfield was born in Montreal in 1926, and lived in Israel for twenty years. He served in the underground Hagana, in the Royal Air Force in World War II, and in the Israel Defense Forces during Israel’s War of Independence. He has worked in the automotive and broadcasting fields. He founded Baroque Records in Montreal and Orion Master Recordings in Los Angeles, and has produced over a thousand recordings of classical music, on his own and other labels. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Music History from Pacific Western University. Published in 1991 by Pangloss Press, Dr. Cornfield’s Zion Liberated is a personal account of Israel’s struggle for independence during the thirty years of the British Mandate, from the end of World War I to the birth of the State of Israel in 1948. He lives with his wife in Hawaii.
