1874. Now that peace is established between the US Army and the Comanche nation, citizens who lost children to Comanche raids over the years are pressuring Congress for their return. The task is delegated to Colonel Frazer at Fort Elliott. Iron Hand is the principal chief of the Comanches, and Frazer dispatches Lieutenant Jim Gary and Sheriff Guthrie McCabe to negotiate for the release of white prisoners.
