Dr. Benoit is originally from New England. He lives with his wife in Colorado, very near the action of The Reynolds Gang. His degree is from the University of Kansas, and he has studied at the Universities of Denver and Michigan. He has published "Battle At The Pass" often referred to as the "Gettysburg of the West" and "Surviving Damnation", the story of the Acadians in 1755: all historical fiction. Dr. Benoit has delighted audiences throughout the Colorado front range for 25 years with his presentations in C.W. uniform.i
