Timothy D. Olson, President, Evolution Software. Evolution Software leads the development efforts for Encore’s CAD products that target the retail and professional digital design markets. These products were originally acquired from CADSoft Solutions (CSI) in 2006. As former founder of CSI, Olson guided the company into providing high-quality commercial CAD software rebranded under such names as CADD Pro, AeroCADD, Concepts Unlimited, Concepts 2D/3D, ViaCAD, Vellum Solids, Cobalt, TurboCAD Mac, TurboCAD 2D/3D, and Shark. Prior to founding CSI in 1994, Olson was Chief Engineer for Lockheed’s Advanced Programs Design Methods group where he was responsible for the development of an internal CAD program, one of the first associative hybrid CAD systems to evolve onto workstation technology in the early 1980’s.
