Moss is a cancer survivor. Moss' career in sales, marketing and real estate was abruptly interrupted when he was stricken with a highly metastatic renal cell cancer at age 28. He received no satisfactory answers as to 'Why?'; e.g., 'Why me?'; 'Why such a radical surgical intervention?'; 'Why is there such limited advice on what to do next?; etc... Thus, Moss spent his next four years not only recovering from his cancer ordeal, but also embarking on a journey in search of better answers that might alleviate both his and other patients' sufferings in the future.
