My family and most of my friends will accept my departure from this earth. But I don’t really know what to do about some of my friends in the Writers’ Circle. Even if they see the death certificate, there are some of them who just don’t trust me. In fact, there is one member who did not believe it when I was hospitalized. I’d had major surgery for Pete’s sake, but when I came back, he swore that he’d seen me alongside the I-5 freeway in an orange jumpsuit picking up trash. I am sure he will look around at each meeting for weeks after my funeral, clearly expecting to see me walk in saying, “Gotcha!”

Biografía del autor

Vivian Charlton was born in Berkeley, graduated from Oregon State University, and moved to southern California in 1950. After raising her family, she opened her own real estate office in Glendale. When she finally retired, she joined several writers groups and began to explore her remarkable writing talents.
