Steve Myers is Director of Social Sciences at the University of Salford, UK. He is a qualified and registered Social Worker and has taught on health and social care/work programmes for the previous 20 years. He has worked in statutory and voluntary agencies with children and young people who have sexually abusive behaviours.
Sarah Pollock is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work and a qualified and registered social work practitioner and academic. She has recently completed a PhD research project at Manchester Metropolitan University in which she explored South Asian older women’s experiences of preventative health and social care services.
Deanna Edwards is a qualified social worker with extensive experience of using family group conferences (FGCs) in the area of child protection. She has spent a number of years training FGC practitioners in the UK.
Kate Parkinson qualified as a social worker in 1998. She has worked within the field of children and families social work for 15 years before taking up her post at the University of Salford. Kate has worked within the areas of child protection, early intervention and looked after children.
