Biografía del autor

The son of Italian immigrants, Robert J. Pizzella was born in Hartford, where he attended school until transferring to Hall High when the family moved to West Hartford. He earned his BA degree from Trinity College and his law degree from the University of Connecticut. He then joined the U. S. Army, retiring as a first Lieutenant in 1968. Married in 1961, Rob and Gerri settled in West Hartford, where they raised their four children. After 34 years in the practice of law, he began his career as an author/poet with creative writing classes in the Town of Litchfield. A member and co-founder of the Litchfield Writer's Guild (LWG), the author recently completed two chapbooks of poetry, A Dog 's Life and Mystic Powers of Sand and Sea, as well as a memoir entitled Sempre Nonno, which means " Grandpa Forever", depicting humorous episodes in the life of his dad, who died in 1986. Rob has also written two screenplays, Antique Private and Double Trouble, and has several other works in progress: A novel, The Fox and The Crow, a compilation of essays, Robservations, and a book of short stories, Bob Tales. The author is currently a member of the Connecticut Association of Publishers and Authors, or CAPA, the Writer's Asylum, and the Choral Club of Hartford. Rob has participated in numerous public readings of his poems, essays. and short stories in the towns of Litchfield, Collinsville, and West Hartford, Connecticut.
