Denetra Hampton was born in Paris, Texas. She graduated from Hampton University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, received her Masters of Health Administration and is currently enrolled in a Doctorate degree program. She has worked in the nursing specialties of Orthopedics, Medical-Surgical, Post Anesthesia, and is currently working in an Intensive Care Unit. She has served the nursing community as a nursing school clinical instructor and continues to serve the profession through education and dedication to building up nurses. Denetra has been married to her husband Shawn for 13 years, they have one four-legged child, Fancy.
