Sinopsis
This book explains how to perform complex mathematical tasks with MATLAB® programs. The author first describes simple functions such as differentiation, integration, and plotting. He then addresses advanced topics, including programming, producing executables, publishing results directly from MATLAB programs, and creating graphical user interfaces. The text also presents examples of Simulink® for system modeling and simulation. It explores the use of MATLAB in digital signal processing, chemical and food engineering, astronomy, optics, financial derivatives, and much more. MATLAB examples and programs can be downloaded from the book’s website and a solutions manual is available upon qualifying course adoption.

Acerca del autor
David Báez-López is a professor in the Department of Computers, Electronics, and Mechatronics at Universidad de las Américas in Puebla, Mexico. His research interests include signal processing circuits and applications of MATLAB to mathematics teaching. Dr. Báez-López has been a member of the Mexican System of Researchers since 1985.
