Rick has worked for more than 12 years at Microsoft and has attained over 30 Microsoft technical certifications in applications, networking, databases, and .NET development (MCDBA, MCTS, MCITP, MCAD, MOE, MCSE, MCSE+I). He has also provided training for Northwest University (Kirkland, WA), Volt Technical Education, and Microsoft. He is the author of the SQL Joes 2 Pros book series. In his 12 years at Microsoft, Rick has attained over 30 Microsoft technical certifications in applications, networking, databases and .NET development (MCDBA, MCTS, MCITP, MCAD, MOE, MCSE, MCSE+I). He has also provided training for Northwest University (Kirkland, WA), Volt Technical Education, and Microsoft. In 1994, you could find Rick Morelan as an Alaska commercial fisherman with non-existent computer skills. His conviction that we all have the ability to go from "Joe" to "Pro" in the IT world - AND that this learning can be enjoyable -informs his approach as an instructor, mentor, and author.
