""Studies In Gods Methods Of Training Workers"" is a book written by Howard Agnew Johnston and published in 1900. The book explores the methods that God uses to train workers for his service. It is an in-depth study of the Bible and the principles that God uses to prepare his chosen people for their work. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which focuses on a different aspect of God’s training methods. The first chapter discusses the importance of obedience and submission to God’s will. The second chapter explores the role of suffering in the training process, while the third chapter looks at the importance of prayer and spiritual discipline. Other chapters cover topics such as the role of the Holy Spirit in training workers, the importance of faith and trust in God, and the value of practical experience in ministry. The book also includes examples from the lives of biblical figures such as Moses, David, and Paul, as well as from the author’s own experience as a missionary in China. This volume is intended to be supplementaty to the volumes of the Cycle of Bible Study for College Students published by The Students Department of the International Committee of Young Men s Christian A ssociations. It partakes somewhat of their character, in that it presents a scheme of Bible readings which covers the main trend of Scripture teaching. But its supreme purpose is to combine with this study of the Word the emphasis which is everywhere found on its pages, upon the duty and opportunity to live to help men to know God and to win them to Jesus Christ. Personal work for individuals is the dominant thought which runs through the entire volume. While this thought is not protruded on every page, it is involved in almost every days reading and meditation. Together with this primary thought are found many teachings which treat of those subjects which are likely to engage the mind of one who is striving to win men, and many questions concerning which it is important to be furnished in dealing with various kinds of inquirers. A long some one of these lines the material will be found to apply.
