Biografía del autor

The author of this book, Roger A. Hicks passed away August 3, 2004 in a farm accident involving electricity. He and his wife, Sarah, of almost 24 years, pastored 3 churches. The last pastorate was almost 20 years long and was at Calvary Baptist Church now Four Rivers Church, in Marshfield, Missouri. During this time we went through many spiritual changes and growth. Roger graduated from Southwest Baptist University, in Bolivar and attended MidWestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He had a bachelor's degree in religion and history and a minor in speech and he didn't quite finish his masters degree at seminary. Roger was an avid reader and loved to study the Word of God. He was blessed with an insight of the Bible and was able to convey his insight with many people.Being raised Southern Baptist, Roger didn't encounter as fully as he thought. But in 1997, he went to a service and encountered God in a whole knew way as he was filled with God's presence through the Holy Spirit. After this the church began to change and his desire to know more of God grew stronger and stronger. There was a revival that took place at the church for almost 2 years. Many traveled to Pencecola, Kansas City, and Toronto to experience this river of God's Presense. And many came to Marshfield, Missouri. Roger never met a stranger and was not ashamed to be different and to seek the Lord with all his heart. His death came as a shock to all that knew him. His funeral was attended by thousands. His life made an impact on many. His dream was to publish this book. So, I, Sarah J Hicks have been determined to get this done. Enjoy reading and be blessed.
