This sense of true acceptance comes only with knowledge and awareness of ourselves and our surroundings. Without these two, our acceptance is motivated by fear, or some form of procrastination, apathy, or some other reason that is not related to true acceptance. How each person is born, raised, and grows in the journey of life is a beautiful, extraordinary, yet comprehendible process. Once we learn the laws and rules of nature and creation, we have learned a great deal about ourselves. We all have to walk through obstacles, barriers, and difficulties in life.

Roya Rohani Rad has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Applied Psychology. She is a member of American Psychological Association (APA), Virginia Psychological Association, and Applied Psychological Association. In addition, she is the founder of a not-for-profit foundation, www.SelfKnowledgeBase.com. Dr. Rad lives in Virginia with her family.
