Susan Weir, Ph.D. is the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Success Initiatives at the University of South Carolina. She has over 12 years academic advising and programming experience with a diverse range of students, including new students and students in transition. Susan developed a New Student Seminar, an orientation course for transfer students, and created a living and learning community exclusively for transfer students as well. She currently directs academic support services and retention initiatives at USC. Susan's educational background includes a doctoral degree in educational psychology, a master's degree in counseling psychology, and a bachelor's degree in journalism.
