Author Sylvester Steffen - alifetime student of theology and biology, business entrepeneur, andpractitioner of family responsibilities - embodies a rich and differentiatedmind of cross-disciplinary insight. His wide personal experience, his interestsand study make him a communicator rich in urgent ideas. Steffen is steadfast in confronting institutional self-obsession, whether religious, political,scientific or other. His eclectic mix of worldly wisdom and moral disciplineconfronts cultural myopia, the self-interest focus of professional disciplines. Author Steffen claims no quick answers to complex social problems but he doesadvance a creative process of societal dialog by which cross-purposes might bereconciled with a common purpose.
