Sinopsis

This book provides a detailed study of the process of design for structural elements, to British standards, in all four building materials: timber, masonry, concrete and steel. The scope of this text is wide and its numerous examples and diagrams should make it an ideal course text.

Acerca del autor
DR W. M. C. McKENZIE is a Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Napier University, specialising in Structural Analysis and Structural Design. He has previously worked as a design engineer for both contractors and consultants and is still actively involved in consultancy and research. He has published numerous academic papers as well as three course textbooks published by Palgrave Macmillan.
