Die Traumdeutung, Freud's landmark work on dream theory, is presented here complete in its original German. This book represents a crucial step in the career of Sigmund Freud, who gradually developed his theories of mind throughout his lengthy career in practice as a psychoanalyst. Keen to balance practical examples with theoretical explanations, the chapters variously cover dream phenomena and their significance. This edition of Die Traumdeutung (in English: The Interpretation of Dreams) contains the three original tables. The author's original notes are placed at the end of the text, together with a bibliography which provides stunning insight into the existing psychological and popular literature of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Scholars and students will be pleased to note that this edition derives chiefly from an updated text of 1914. As such, it includes the additional section wherein Freud interprets various dreams in a completely literal manner.
