In decimals, the Writer has endeavoured to avoid being too concise, by omitting the arithmetic of repeaters, as several modern Authors have done thereby rendering their subsequent calculations inaccurate or to treat the subject more fully than mercantile practice required. He has given rules for reducing circulating decimals to vulgar fractions, by which any question where such decimals occur may be more easily wrought than by the rules usually given in that branch of decimals.
