As some of the books referred to are scarce, it may be useful to mention that the Pandects of Justinian, the folio edition with the Com: mentary, are in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. The Institutions are in the British Museum Library. The, ancient co'mmon law writers and other old works referred to in the margins are mostly in the Middle Temple Library; and the more modern are in Lincoln's Inn.
