Effects of the Conferences (Classic Reprint): His Excellency Lord Grey: His Excellency Lord Grey (Classic Reprint) - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

This book details the political developments of British colonies over time, specifically Canada's journey from colony to nationhood. The author traces how conferences between British and colonial representatives gradually diminished political ties while recognizing colonial independence, establishing equality among the associated kingdoms, and granting the right to decline participation in British wars. The author emphasizes that these conferences ultimately contributed to the development of a Canadian national identity and political autonomy from the British Empire while maintaining close ties of kinship and common goals.
