Excerpt from Lessons in Practical Anatomy: For the Use of Dissectors
In consequence of their actual plan not being suitable to the course of dissections, or from the partition of the subject among several students, causing the dissection of one person to interfere with that of another. The idea of forming a text-book to obviate the latter was thus suggested; and I trust, therefore, that the present treatise will, in most cases, be found to answer either where several students dissect together on the same subject, Or where the student dissects alone upon a por tion of the body.
