Excerpt from The Bible Doctrine of Inspiration Explained and Vindicated
For more than a quarter Of a century it has been my privilege and duty, in giving theological instruction, to discuss the subject of Inspiration. As each year I have studied it afresh, my sense Of its importance has increased; and in examining the accumulating litera ture on the topic in books, reviews, and newspapers, I have felt moved to get closer to the original sources, and have determined to ask the attention of the public to a study Of it specially from a Biblical standpoint.
