Excerpt from Euclid's Elements: Books I, II, III
Alternative proofs of the propositions of Book II have been given, and it is hoped that pupils will be encouraged by these to make a more careful study of this section of Euclid's work.
In Book III, the usual proofs are given, except in the case of Propositions 26 to 29, in which the method of superposition is used.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book is focused on the study of plane geometry. The author presents 20 propositions concerning triangles and other geometric figures, building on the foundations of basic geometric definitions, postulates, and axioms. The author's ultimate goal is to prove that the sum of two sides of a triangle is always greater than the third side and that the angles opposite to the greater sides are also greater. Throughout the book, the author uses logical arguments and deductive reasoning to prove each proposition, making this book a valuable resource for anyone interested in the foundations of geometry and advanced mathematics. The author's approach is systematic and rigorous, and the insights gained from this book can be applied to a wide range of mathematical problems.
