Reseña del editor

Excerpt from Descriptive List of Trees and Shrubs Between the Ganges and the Sarda Rivers

The area dealt with in this list includes the territory lying between the Ganges on the west and the Sarda on the east and is bounded on the west by the Tehri Garhwal State, on the north by Tibet, and on the east by Nepal. To the south it extends only so far as the limits of those forests which are included within the Lansdowne, Kalagarh, Ramnagar and Haldwani forest divisions. It will be seen that the area takes the form of a strip running across the Hamalayan range and including the tract, half hills, half plains, commonly known as the Kumaon Bhabar and Tarai.
