Section I. - After fame years (tudy Imet with one who feemed to be a Def/i, and telling him that there were arguments fuflicient to prove the truth of Cbrz'jt'ian Faith, and of the holy Scriptures, he (corn. Now this imputation of Adam': fin to his poflerity, (o as to render them, obnoxious to God's wrath, and to eternal damnation, only becaufe they were born of the race of Adam, feemed to him as contradictory to the commoh reafon of mankind, as any thing could be, and (o contained as firong an argument againfl: the truth of Scripture, if that doctrine was contained in it, as any could be offered for it. And Upon this account I, again tearched into the places ufually alledged to confirm that doétrine, and found them fairly capable ot Other interpretations. One doubt re.
